It’s been a long rode trying to make it to the London 2012 Olympic games. The last 2 months I’ve spent a lot of time in the UK for World Cups and getting ready for our World Championship. That being the end of our Olympic personal points for the 1st spot on the USA team. Going into worlds I was in 4th. (winner getting first selection). So my results there was going to change much. Starting out the day great, I wasn’t able to keep it going getting knocked out in my semi final and my day coming to an end.
Back home in America. 2nd choice for the Olympic team was a trials event held at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. 2-5 in points were automaticly in the race and the other 4 were coaches selections. Luckily I got an automatic selection. This race was the 8 fastest USA riders. Winner gets to go to the Olympics and 2-8 get a “Good job, see ya next time” haha. It was a different format from normal. Every lap eliminates the back riders until there was 4 left for a main event. I rode well and made my way into the final 4. Nerves were really going now. I didn’t have the best start but got myself into 2nd in turn one. Coming out hard toward the next section I tried hitting the biggest jump too low. Coming up short and ending my day watching my last chance at Olympics ride away. Guess it’s time to set new goal for this year but I’lll be coming strong for 2016. 4 years will go by fast!

Back to the ABA series now. Small hill small jumps. Here I come….

Other GOOD news! My new NOW bar came out. “White Chocolate” I’d have to say its the best tasting bar they make. Tastes like cookies and cream. Try one for your self and let me know what you think!

I’ve been in Europe now for about 3 weeks with limited amounts of internet. Have to pay everyday gets old. Found some time today to sit down and relax.
So the USA team left for Papandal, Holland for the 3rd round of the GSX BMX SX series. Thats race went as good for me as the last 2. Crashes in qualifying with another rider and not advancing. After Holland we went over the London to do another test week on the 2012 Olympic track. I was a BIG fan of the track last year at the test event but after a few people complained from being out of their comfort zone, the track got changed. Now it went from a full speed track to a 75% track so you don’t over shoot. The first straight I feel was the only thing that should have been changed. Which is definitely better now but a little too short. Its now 4 years later after the last Olympics and the track is back to a basic track. O well, enough of that.
After London we came over to Birmingham for the UCI BMX Word Championships. (About 2 hours norths of London). Being in a indoor arena we don’t have to worry about the cloudy UK skies but lucky enough the weather has been amazing this week. The arena is one of the coolest places i’ve raced in and the energy the fans will have will be fun to race in front of. As for the track so. BIG THUMBS DOWN. Being Olympic year and having the fastest and most skillful bmxers in the world here you’d think we would get a top notch track. Nope, looks like a basic ABA track with a SX hill and tight turns. Don’t get me wrong. They did a great job building it. Super smooth and well maintained. It is a perfect track for 15 and under riders but an embarrassment for the Elite level of racing. Sorry to vent haha.
Its practice day. Time for a good warm up and few laps with my eyes closed….

Started out rough but pulled some stuff together at the end. Ending the year with a number 7 overall. Not what the goals were but it feels good to be back in the top 10 after two hard years with injury. Check out Episode 3 of the Parliament. Next stop is a one off race in Brazil. Gonna have some good footage from that trip.

Been busy with trying to get episode 2 of “The Parliament” a long with travel. Vegas went good. Got on the podium again but still only the 3rd spot. Went to Orlando and had a rough weekend. Never been a fan of Orlando so I think I went in with the wrong attitude. Chilling in Puerto Rico right now and JUST finished Ep. 2 so that will be posted tonight! Raining in Puerto Rico right now. Hopefully it stays dry by the weekend. Next update with be the video!!
